Me and the treatment room
Among all the communication models, the communication model in the treatment room is unique: therapeutic communication is one-way, which means that the client’s needs, conflicts and problems are always prioritized. With the cooperation of the client, according to the clinical interview, in the first sessions, I examine a complete history of physical and family problems, drug use, academic, occupational, and emotional relationships, and after examining the psychological state, I make a diagnosis. Finally, by determining the goals of the treatment in harmony with the needs and problems of the clients and based on the therapeutic approach, we draw a road map. Since the schema therapy approach has high flexibility, this process can be different based on the conditions, urgency and needs of the clients.
